My American Idol Predictions, Fab Fictio

My American Idol Predictions, Fab Fiction Fridays, And Something I Forgot…
Welcome to the second segment of Fabulous Fiction Fridays. We’ll get to that in just a bit. There’s something I have to tell you about…
American Idol. Another person got kicked off last night, which means that the top three get to go home and perform for crowds of adoring (and local) fans. Everyone but Jessica Meuse (sorry for the spoiler). Although i know that people who don’t win the show go on to have interesting and successful music careers (Chris Daughtry’s one of them–although the exposure helped the band he’d already had).
Anyhow, I usually don’t do this in written form, but…
My prediction is that Jena Irene wins the whole enchilada, and if she doesn’t, then Caleb Johnson does. Jena’s done really well, basically without a slip-up, the entire time. Oh, and she’s a great singer, too. But I think that extends to the top five, if not further.
If Jena does win, since Candice Glover won last year, it will be only the second time female artists have won Idol in back-to-back years (the first time was Fantasia Barrino and Carrie Underwood, in seasons 3 and 4).
I need to mention something else, too.
I told you all that I hadn’t heard of Star Wars Day. But I had. I read the Foxtrot comic in last Sunday’s paper, and Star Wars Day was mentioned. It went completely over my head, though. Foxtrot makes pop culture, gaming, TV, and other references on a regular basis. And I wondered why they decided to mention all the Star Wars stuff that day.
So, I forgot. Maybe something played some trick on my brain, or what-have-ya.
And now, the writing prompt for this week, for you all:
You pick up some school supplies at the store. Things seem to be fine when you get back home. But instead, you find out that something you bought can do something it shouldn’t be able to.
All right. Characters, time, space, plot, setting–switch up this basic idea however you want. Feel free to choose more than one morph you come up with. Delete, combine. Anything goes.
And while you’re at it, make it an awesome weekend, too.
Until next time,
Ty
